Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeship is a three-year engineering programme that is designed to teach both vital theory and hands-on real-world experiences, which is what makes a highly skilled engineer.
At Aprolis Handling Solutions, we see apprenticeships as important to the growth of our company and a vital component in our well-oiled machine! We use a blended approach to apprentice development, which encompasses hands-on engineering, mentoring, and coaching as well as detailed and constructive feedback. You are provided with a full tool chest as well as all PPE and safety equipment, which sets you up for a successful career with us.

CONTINUED SUPPPORT
Most of our apprentices move in to engineering positions after course completion but there are also opportunities within operations and sales, this is just the start as our wider UK and European operations offer further opportunities for progression and development.
WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHEN
YEAR 1
Year 1 will include a full induction to the company and wider group, which will include information on our supported brands of equipment as well as team integration. You will be assigned a company mentor and carry out numerous training courses in health and safety. These will include general Health and Safety in the workplace, driver training, working at height and risk assessments, product familiarisation, as well as basic electronics and a glimpse of future technology will round out your first year with us.

Year 2
In year 2, you will be more comfortable with the company, its products, and your surroundings. This will enable us to focus on increasing your competence and confidence in several areas. Health and safety will again be covered in different areas and in more detail. Technically, you will look at engines, cooling, fuel, air, exhaust, and driveline systems. The 2nd year will conclude with more detailed product knowledge, key soft skills, equipment inspection and routine maintenance.

Year 3
Year 3 is your final year and will be a year of development. We will delve into all previously covered systems and look at diagnostics to determine what the problem is and how to fix it. You will increase ownership of individual tasks, ensure all relevant paperwork is signed off in accordance with policy and increase customer interaction. This is a year which will get you ready for a full-time career as an engineer with our company!
